All Things New

People in a wheat field

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5-17

Go back and slowly read this verse again. Meditate on the words and apply them to your life at this moment. My struggle lately has been accepting the consequences of past decisions. Satan is the best liar, storyteller, and manipulator there is, and sometimes when he claims that all there is to my identity are the past mistakes and decisions I’ve made, I fall victim to his deceit.

How very foolish of us. We are told we are a new creation. “The old life is gone; a new life has begun.” We need to throw out the old. It is time to forgive ourselves for the missteps of our past. We need to wrap ourselves in God’s truths and take comfort in His love. There is joy and strength to be found in this new perspective as we move forward as a new creation to be molded into the person God designed us to be.

He makes all things new.
