“We quickly take possession of our hopes and dreams, and we don’t want to ever give them back. Like a self-centered two-year-old, we scream, “Mine. Mine. Mine!”
God can never let that be the cry of our hearts. Our heart must beat in tandem with His. The only way for that to happen is for us to constantly take our dream to Him with open hands and willingly declare, “Yours. Yours. Yours!” – Lysa TerKeurst
This is no easy task, and I’m often telling God what my plans are. Expecting him to make them happen. It’s a work in progress, but I’m learning to let go and let God. To become humble and make all that I do about Him rather than myself. To surrender my plans, dreams, and ambitions to the Father.
Surrender is scary, but it is such a beautiful thing when we can let lose of the reins, and allow God to take us to places we never dreamed we could go.
What plans and dreams do you need to surrender to God?
